If you've been on this path for a while, you know that sobriety is no joke. It takes work and dedication and some days are just plain tough. To me, sobriety is a sum of all the parts. There are many aspects of an alcohol-free life that need care and tending. And over the years, I've learned that there are things I MUST do regularly to support myself and my alcohol-free path. These things can be (and should be!) different for you.
It may take some time before you can truly feel like you're flourishing in your sobriety. But once you identify your personal "non-negotiables" and develop routines around them, you'll be surprised at how much EASIER and ENJOYABLE your sobriety can be.
Here are MY top four "non-negotiables":
1.) Taking care of my body-mind-spirit on the daily. I do this with nourishing food, exercise, writing and soul-level connection.
2.) Showing up clear and present for those I’m serving - especially my boys and my clients. I want everyone in my life to FEEL me - not just see me.
3.) Calibrating up. Every day I try to learn something new, improve upon something I already know, or share wisdom I’ve learned along the way.
4.) Listening. I spent so many years ignoring my intuition - which led to terrible consequences. It wasn’t until I got sober that I learned how to tune in, get curious and lead myself towards the calling of my inner knowing.
I flourish when I’m following my own North Star. ✨
Which one resonates most with you? What are some of the ways you keep yourself growing and thriving in your alcohol-free life?
Big love -
xx Andrea
